The Need

Findlay Market has long been a driving force in the revitalization of Over-the-Rhine, the Findlay neighborhood, the West End, and North of Liberty street. As Ohio’s oldest continuously operating public market, it’s deeply connected to the region’s economic growth. With major development underway around us, Findlay Market remains a key partner in the area’s transformation. This campaign will help us grow alongside these changes to better serve both residents and visitors. Findlay Forward is our commitment to ensuring the Market continues to thrive at the heart of this progress.

The responsibility of preserving Findlay Market’s unique legacy is one we take very seriously. To that end, we are creating a sustainability fund designed to provide the resources needed to maintain and strengthen the Market for years to come.

The fund will prioritize a $4 million reserve for ongoing maintenance, ensuring the Market remains structurally sound and protected in the long-term. These resources will ensure Findlay Market stays a vibrant, public space that drives economic prosperity for our region.

Inside the Kitchen:
Why Sustainability Funds Matter

When Findlay Kitchen’s $50,000 bakery oven broke down, it took nine months to replace, costing our members valuable bake time and services. This oven was essential for small food businesses looking to expand. The delay strained our already overbooked kitchens and impacted production. A sustainability fund ensures we can quickly address urgent needs like this, minimizing disruption and supporting growth.
